Like Mirage, this piece is inspired by Umberto Eco’s novel The Island of the Day Before, in which castaway Roberto della Griva discovers an apparently abandoned ship, strangely well stocked with supplies. The work focuses on a cellar aboard the ship, filled with strange tropical plants that have somehow been kept alive and recently watered, suggesting someone has been there.
