‘Untitled # 2’ is part of a series inspired by a trip to Bolton Abbey, a  monastery which was sacked during the disillusion of the monasteries under Henry VIII. The scene depicts this dramatic moment, a moment that caused a shift in the way the abbey was used, seen and thought of … going from a bustling Augustinian monastery to an imposing and romantic ruin.
